I finally got myself a new tablet. No, it’s not a WACOM Bamboo; those are too expensive for me. I got myself a Genius MousePen i608, it’s larger than the Genius G-Pen 450 tablet that I was using (that broke), and it comes with a pseudo-wireless mouse (the mouse only works on top of the tablet, or so I was told). I haven’t opened it yet but I’m looking forward to it once I have some free time to draw.

When I was asking around about what tablet I should get the answer was always, Bamboo, or some other WACOM model. I know WACOM is the “leading manufacturer of pen tablets” so their reputation is part of the reason the Bamboo comes highly recommended but I feel it maybe more than that, it seems like people know it’s superior to other brands of tablets, at least that's what I think.

My first tablet is the Genius G-Pen 450 that I’ve been using to draw ever since I got back from a long hiatus. That’ll be my reference point whether another tablet is better or worse. If you had experience with another tablet versus a Bamboo; the good, the bad, the better, the worse, the quality, etc., I’d like to hear it.
